Summary


Applicants are invited for a Clinical Research Fellow position in Endocrinology, joining a dynamic clinical trial team dedicated to delivering high-quality Phase I to III sponsored research studies. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a doctor seeking hands-on experience in clinical trials, with full training and mentorship provided within a leading NHS teaching hospital in Central London.

This non-training post is ideal for those interested in a research-focused career, including individuals exploring pharmaceutical medicine, trainees seeking protected research time and clinical trial exposure, or those considering a non-traditional career path inside and outside the NHS.

The successful applicant will work as part of a supportive, research-active team, collaborating closely with leading pharmaceutical sponsors and the clinical trial unit.

Duration:
This position is a fixed-term 24-month full time post with six months’ probation. Starting date from Oct 2025. NB: Non-UK trained doctors must be on the GMC register by date of appointment.

Applicants currently enrolled in a training program will need to apply for an Out of Programme Experience (OOPE) if selected for the role. IMT trainees are also welcome to apply.

Key Responsibilities
• Serve as a sub-investigator (Sub-I) on clinical trials within the department.
• Support the Principal Investigator (PI) and research team, including research nurses and coordinators.
• Assist with patient recruitment, consent, and adherence to trial protocols.
• Assist with patient queries within the clinical trial.
• Contribute to data collection, analysis, and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Engage in clinical trial governance and ensure adherence to Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
