Sports Coach Required
Location: Primary & SEN Schools (EYFS - KS5)
Start Date: Immediate or September 2025
Contract: Full-time, ongoing (part time hours will be considered)
Core Education is looking to appoint a proactive and enthusiastic Sports Coach to support pupils in an SEN school. This role involves assisting with sports and outdoor education activities, helping pupils engage and develop their skills in a supportive environment. The position is full-time and available for an immediate start.
The ideal candidate for this role will have prior experience working with children and a background in sports or physical activities is highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities of the Sports Coach:
• Assist teachers in planning and delivering sports sessions tailored to the needs of the pupils
• Encourage pupil participation and promote positive behaviour during sports and outdoor education
• Help with the setup, supervision, and safe use of sports equipment and outdoor spaces
• Support pupils’ physical, social, and emotional development through structured activities
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff and other professionals to meet individual pupil needs
• Maintain records of pupil participation and progress in sports activities
• Promote a safe and inclusive environment for all pupils during physical activities
Requirements for the Sports Coach role:
• Recent experience working with children within the last two years is essential
• Experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs
• Excellent knowledge of the curriculum and assessment frameworks
• Ability to provide two professional references from recent roles working with children
• Hold a current DBS registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one
