Summary

We have an exciting opportunity to work as an Orthotics Officer to support the delivery of the Orthotics Service across Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust.

The role is extremely varied where you will be providing a whole host of clerical support as well as reception duties. You will be required to work across several different IM&T systems, including E-Procurement and electronic patient systems.

As part of a greater team delivering services across all 4 sites, you will have the opportunity to work alongside an Orthotist and take ownership and responsibility to manage all day to day administration support in the delivery of a service at each site .

In addition to providing all aspects of clerical support you will have the opportunity to develop clinical skills and work directly with clinicians supporting in clinic and, in time, eventually undertake the measurement and fitting of some simple devices.

Unfortunately, this role does not meet the criteria required to qualify for sponsorship.

You will be responsible for the smooth running of weekly clinics and underrating all aspects of administration work.

As part of the team you will be greeting patients, dealing with enquiries, processing orders, processing referrals, maintaining stock levels, processing invoices, taking prescription payments, as well as the day to day management of clinic diaries.

Over time you will have the opportunity to work alongside a qualified Orthotist and assist in clinic and after completing competencies have the opportunity to manage your own limited patients caseload requiring simple devices , which will require measurement and fitting and relevant note keeping

You should have excellent customer service skills, have excellent PC skills and experience of working in a busy office environment.

If you enjoy dealing with people face to face, enjoy a challenge and enjoy working as part of a team then this could be the job for you.
