Children and Family Care Services supports Children/Young people aged 0 -18yrs who have a diagnosed disability and are open to the Disability Social work teams.
We are dedicated to empowering disabled children and young people to lead fulfilling lives, regardless of the challenges they face.We support children and their families around their needs, no matter how complex, ensuring they receive the support and care they deserve.
We provide domiciliary homecare, and short break opportunities for young people in their own homes and local community.

About the Role
We are seeking acompassionate and dedicated Senior Children'sSupport Worker to join our team.The successful candidate will provide high-quality care andsupport to children and young people who have a disability, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development.This role involves working closely with families, social workers, and other professionals to create a nurturing andsupportive environment
As a senior support worker you will mentor and support staff within your team. The role is community based requiring you to travel to a number of homes and locations.
You will contribute to, and attend meetings related to the Children/Young people yousupport.
You will besupporting Children/ Young people providing domiciliary personal care for individuals within their own home.This involves personal caresupport including bathing, dressing, medical tasks and interventions for whichchild specific training will be provided.
You will also support individuals to access leisure-based community opportunities.
You will need to be diligent and responds to any emerging safeguarding concerns.
About you
The children and young people we support say you need to be “Fun, happy,kind and reliable”
You will need to be conscientious, flexible, and adaptable with the ability to demonstrate a creative approach to working with children and young people who have a disability, alongside their parents and care givers.
You will need to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and engagement skills and be able to adapt your style and approach to each individual child and family.
You must be anenthusiastic worker who is passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people.
The successful applicants will demonstrate acommitment to continuous development and to working towards the successful completion of a Skills for Care certification.
