What you'll do
As an IPV Prudent Valuation Manager, you’ll be assisting with the strategy, design, execution and delivery of the IPV and PruVal solution and supervising the monthly IPV and PruVal process. You’ll also be managing the reporting of IPV, performing monthly price verification and the PruVal process and assisting with monthly review meetings with key stakeholders. You'll also address model and valuation limitations through reserve and valuation adjustment calculations.
You’ll also be:
- Providing valuation analysis and consolidation of price testing information
- Supervising Valuation in Resolution (ViR) dry runs, including design and review of ViR methodologies
- Developing, implementing and documenting reserving and independent pricing methodologies
- Supervising quarterly prudential valuation adjustments disclosures
- Identifying control enhancements and delivering process improvements and automation by working closely with technology teams
- Supervising regulatory reports including SOX and audit
- Working on strategic change projects and addressing regulator recommendations
The skills you'll need
To succeed in this role, you’ll need knowledge of the market, along with demonstrable technical skills and strong pricing and valuation knowledge. You’ll also need a robust technical background with a degree preferably in a numerate discipline, and a strong understanding of derivative valuation.
In addition, you’ll demonstrate:
- Good IT skills such as VBA, SQL and XML
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong communication skills and the ability to present and discuss complex issues
- Problem solving skills and flexibility to adapt to rapidly changing business events
- The ability to build relationships with senior members within the business
