We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Adminstrator to join our Business Support team, playing a vital role in the effective management of purchasing and invoicing activities across the AASC contract. This is a great opportunity to contribute to the success of a major public service contract in a role that combines operational coordination with stakeholder collaboration.
As a Purchasing Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring that all purchasing and payment processes run smoothly and efficiently. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external vendors, building strong relationships to maintain high service delivery standards. Maintaining accurate data within our IT systems will be essential to support accurate financial reporting and performance tracking.

Your day-to-day work will involve managing purchase orders, processing invoices, and handling payments. You’ll also be expected to prepare clear, concise reports and briefings under tight deadlines, contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations. In this role, you’ll actively identify and resolve issues that might delay supplier payments and ensure compliance with our key financial performance targets.
You will also support the wider Business Support Team by assisting in managing the Complaints and Feedback Mailbox, processing incoming issues in line with KPIs and ensuring responses are delivered on time. Regular communication with Heads of Field Operations will be part of your routine, particularly around managing open purchase orders.



What you will need

Strong admin background

Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities

Confident communicator and proactive problem-solver

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and general IT systems

Experience with SAP and/or utilities billing is desirable but not essential

Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines



The role is subject to security clearance at Counter Terrorism Check (CTC) level and a Criminal Record Bureau check, in line with Home Office requirements.
This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
