Summary
The Best Connection is seeking a Class 1 Driver for a 12 week temp to perm!
The Best Connection Reading are currently recruiting HGV Class 1 drivers for a temporary to permanent role with one of the UK's largest and most well-established distribution operations, based in Reading.
Key information:
- Monday to Friday (NO WEEKENDS).
- Early starts between 4.30am and 5.30am.
- Pay rate - £18.50 per hour.
Key responsibilities:
- Multi-drop deliveries of beer kegs to the hospitality sector.
- Working alongside an experienced drivers mate who is there to assist with the handball.
- Safely secure goods for transport.
- Manoeuvre goods using tail lifts and pump trucks.
- Follow manual handling best practice.
- Meet scheduled delivery times and route plans.
- Follow all site, depot and customer H&S procedures.
Requirements:
- Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) Licence
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Ability to work within a team
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
