Summary
Organise and manage a caseload of patients who have undergone Orthopaedic surgery, including metal-on-metal and SSIS. Co-ordinate investigations, treatments for patients who have undergone orthopaedic surgery in accordance with established post-operative plans protocols and procedure. Act as a specialist resource, communicating with patients, and their family, assessing their needs and providing relevant support, information, education, advice and counselling when necessary. Participate in and lead quality initiatives to promote and ensure that nursing care is evidence and research based. To always comply with the NMC Code of Conduct (2018) Develop new skills in response to clinical needs of the patients, emerging knowledge, experience and techniques. Request necessary investigations such as x-rays, bloods, following them up and discussing with the consultants.
