Summary

Teaching Assistant - SEMH Focus
New Alternative Provision | East Riding, Yorkshire
Full-Time | Term-Time Only | Start: October 2025

This is not your usual classroom job.

A brand-new Alternative Provision is opening in East Riding this October, and Remedy Education is helping build the founding team. We're looking for a Teaching Assistant who gets that behaviour is often just the surface - and knows how to stick with young people even on the tough days.

This setting will support primary and secondary students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs - pupils who've struggled to settle in mainstream and need a more individual approach to learning, trust, and routine.

If you're calm, firm, and not afraid of a bit of chaos now and then - this might be the role you've been looking for.

If you've worked in roles where you had to be everything - teacher, coach, mentor, counsellor - you'll fit right in. And if you're ready to make a genuine difference to students who've had a rough start, we'd love to hear from you.

To apply, send your CV to find out more.

Please note: All applicants must have the right to work in the UK. An enhanced DBS and references will be required as part of safer recruitment practices.
