Magor | £12.21 per hour | Monday - Friday | 8am - 2:30pm |
Acorn by Synergie are looking to recruit a Kitchen Assistant for the Magor area. Candidates must have previous catering/kitchen experience and have completed Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate.
Responsibilities:
- Cleaning utensils, food preparation equipment, other tools, and kitchen floors.
- Prepping ingredients for dishes.
- Washing, peeling and preparing food ingredients.
- Cooking ingredients according to directions received from chef.
- Assisting in cooking of meals.
- Reviewing kitchen inventory and determining what items are needed.
- Unloading fresh supplies and organising the stockroom.
- Checking sell-by dates and rotating food stock.
- Observing cooking times and correct temperatures.
- Ensuring that food preparation areas are clean and hygienic.
- Minimum Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate required.
- Able to understand and communicate in English at a working level (spoken and written).
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Able to remain calm and effective in a high-pressure environment.
- Flexible and willing to support other roles or duties as needed.
