Summary
The Children’s House Montessori is an independent nursery registered to care for up to 40 2 – 5-year-olds, split into two class groups. Due to a member of our team leaving childcare, we are looking to recruit a new full-time practitioner to start with us as soon as possible.
Are you an energetic and enthusiastic nursery practitioner?
Do you hold a Level 3 childcare qualification or equivalent?
We’re looking for someone with ideas to enrich our children’s learning, and are keen to welcome your passions, hobbies and interests to nursery.
Can you form nurturing and encouraging relationships with your key children and their families?
Can you help children to achieve their best possible outcome, and understand that this will be different for each and every one of them?

At the Children’s House we work within the EYFS, supported by the use of some Montessori learning resources. Although previous Montessori experience is desirable for this position, it is not at all necessary. Applications from non-Montessori backgrounds will be welcomed. In-house training and support can be given to the successful applicant if needed, so this may be a great opportunity to broaden your childcare experience!
The position is full time, working 48 weeks of the year. We have a 2-week Christmas closure, and a further 2 weeks at the end of August, and are also closed on all bank holidays. Any additional holiday entitlement can be booked throughout the academic year with prior approval from the nursery manager.
We offer fully paid sickness leave for up to 8 of your normally worked sessions each academic year, and encourage CPD by paying staff for any training that takes place outside of their normally worked hours. We pride ourselves on being family friendly in supporting staff who have home commitments as well as their job with us.
This position would be 8.30 – 4.00 Mon to Fri (lates up until 6.00pm may be required as we go through the year, and are shared fairly amongst our team)
We are able to offer £13.21/hr for a Level 3 qualified practitioner, reviewed annually.
An Enhanced DBS check will be required for this post.
