Summary

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a permanent Plumber in HMP Leeds, 2 Gloucester Terrace, Stanningley Road, Leeds LS12 2TJ.

The standard hours of work are 39 hours per week. Staff are required to work on a rota basis between Monday to Thursday 08:00 - 17:00; Friday to Sunday 08:00 - 16:00. There will be a need to work 1 in 3 weekends but this would be on a rota basis (and with an additional allowance of 15% of basic salary). You will also be required to be part of a call out rota, paid separately.

At Amey, we’re supporting our justice client, His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) by providing them with safe, clean and efficient prisons. By using our facilities management expertise, we help keep 60 secure premises across England and Wales running smoothly.

What you will do:

Routine and non-routine maintenance.
Mains water supply repairs.
Fault finding Identification of life expired equipment, checking, repairing and making good faults.
Inspections, water sampling and risk assessment.

What you will bring:

Full driving licence
Experience in maintenance work
Experience in a commercial environment
NVQ level 3 in Plumbing and Heating is preferred (we may consider NVQ level 2)
Legionella Control (L8) is desirable
IT skills
