An exciting opportunity has arisen within South Lanarkshire Council’s Chief Executive’s Office within the Communications and Strategy service, and we are seeking to recruit a Communications Assistant (Digital).
You will be involved in the effective day to day processing of communications jobs using established processes and systems within the digital team. You will also be required to work with social media channels and be involved with processing of content for the council’s website and intranet. You will have a key role in supporting and developing of the Council’s Communication and Strategy campaigns and projects functions to deliver key council messages.
You should be able to demonstrate excellent written, communication, planning and organisational skills as well as the ability to effectively protect the council’s reputation, apply council policies, and manage your workload to meet the required service deadlines. You should have excellent IT skills and a good awareness and understanding of social media platforms and digital functions , be dynamic and creative, with the ability to resolve problems as they arise. You should be able to contribute to process and system developments. Successful applicant will be required to be flexible in approach in dealing with Communications and Strategies requirements.
