As a Residential Support Worker, you will be a key part of creating a safe, nurturing environment where young people can thrive. You’ll provide daily care, guidance, and support to promote their emotional, social, and physical development, making a meaningful difference in their lives every day.
Are you the right person for the job?
Our client is looking for caring, resilient, and motivated individuals who want to make a real difference in the lives of young people. To be successful in this role, you’ll ideally have:
• A Level 3 or 4 in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards it)
• Experience supporting children or young people with learning disabilities, Autism, ADHD, complex needs, and associated behaviours
• An understanding of trauma-informed care and behaviour support
• Relevant qualifications in youth work, social care, or a related field (preferred)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to lead by example and engage positively with young people
• A patient, energetic, and compassionate approach
• A full UK driving licence and a clear Enhanced DBS (or willingness to complete one)
• A commitment to ongoing professional development (CPD)
What will your role look like?
• Providing consistent, caring support to help young people achieve their goals and develop independence
• Supporting daily routines, including meals, education, and recreational activities
• Building strong relationships to promote emotional, social, and physical development
• Encouraging positive behaviour and managing challenges using de-escalation strategies
• Maintaining accurate records, including reports, logs, and incident documentation
• Taking part in household tasks such as cooking and cleaning
• Promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of care

• £25,000–£30,000 depending on experience plus an additional £50 per sleep-in shift
