Summary

As a trusted adviser, mediator and advocate you’ll be just as passionate about supporting our members in the East Midlands region. It’s a challenging role that requires determination and resilience, and it’s also a role that offers genuine satisfaction and opportunities to develop.

We're accredited with Investors in People Silver Standard. Our people are our greatest asset, and we want people who can contribute to our purpose in line with our values.

As an RCN officer you’ll use your positive attitude and your knowledge of health and care issues to deliver best practice in relation to employment practices, influencing and negotiating on behalf of our members. You will use organising skills to engage our membership with active membership and develop our professional and employment relations offer.

Every day will be filled with possibilities as you find new ways to manage and support the development of our members and our accredited representatives. You will manage your own portfolio of casework, which will include assisting and representing members with employment related issues and processes. You will also listen to our members concerns and support them to reach resolutions as well as build our membership and promote our Nurse and Nurse support worker professional offer within the independent sector as well as the NHS.

Supporting our valued members will be your primary role, but you’ll also see the potential that our members have. A key part of your role will be to suggest innovative approaches to recruiting and developing representatives within our region.
