Are you an experienced and driven vet looking for more than just another out-of-hours role?

Do you want to help build something exceptional – a new, independent veterinary hospital where your voice matters, your growth is prioritised, and your future could include leadership or even partnership?

This is your chance to join a once-in-a-lifetime project!

About the Opportunity

A brand-new, independently owned veterinary hospital is opening soon in Rugby, and they are now recruiting for their founding night team. This is more than a job – it’s your opportunity to shape a hospital from day one: the standards, the culture, the clinical pathways. They are building a centre of excellence for both patient care and team wellbeing, and are looking for vets who want to be part of something genuinely different.

We're seeking an experienced veterinary surgeon who:

• Holds (or is working towards) a postgraduate certificate – or is keen to pursue one
• Is confident in both medical and surgical emergencies
• Is passionate about high clinical standards, collaboration, and mentorship
• Wants to grow into a leadership or partnership role as the hospital evolves

Whether you prefer a 5-on/10-off rota or a more tailored night schedule, my client will work with you to find the right balance.

What You’ll Work With

The hospital is being designed for clinical excellence and team comfort, with:

• CT scanner
• DR X-ray
• Ultrasound
• Endoscopy
• Laparoscopy
• In-house IDEXX lab
• Spacious prep and theatre areas
• Dedicated imaging suite
• Comfortable and modern staff facilities

You’ll work alongside experienced RVNs and like-minded vets in a team that values integrity, clinical quality, and collaboration.

Career Progression & Recognition

They don’t just support your development – they invest in it:

• Fully funded postgraduate certificate pathways
• Clear routes to clinical leadership
• Opportunity to earn partnership shares based on your contribution
• A supportive, forward-thinking leadership team that values input at every level

Why Rugby?

Centrally located with excellent transport links to London and Birmingham, Rugby offers the charm of a market town with access to city life. It’s an ideal base for professionals seeking balance and opportunity.

Be Part of Something Bigger

This is your chance to join an independent hospital in its founding phase – a role where your decisions will shape the future, and your expertise will be valued every step of the way.
