About this opportunity…

This Lead Solution Architect role sits within the Strategic ledger & Controls Lab and will focus on Group Ledger Cluster. You'll play a key part in the delivery of high-quality solution designs, working closely with a wide community of change colleagues. You'll be involved in coaching, continually challenging, motivating, mentoring, and supporting your team. Specialising in design & architecture, this role will be instrumental in delivering Finance's agenda for change in a coherent, innovative, and collaborative manner.

What you'll do…

  • Solution design and technology integration across GCP and Oracle Technologies, aligned with Enterprise Architecture and Business Design strategy.

  • Manage a complex set of constraints and opportunities to create and maintain a blueprint for organising and communicating the Finance technology change agenda.

  • Promote the adoption of modern software engineering practices, including DevOps, CI/CD, Cloud computing, Agile ways of working.

  • Act as an advocate for technology design and governance

  • Delivering engineering design outputs, such as Minimum Viable Designs & architecture decisions via formal governance processes.

What you'll need…

Professional Experience:

  • 5+ years in either Software Engineering design, or Solution Design/Architecture

  • Experience in shaping and executing design change across complex operational and technology environments

Technical Skills:

  • PaaS, SaaS

  • Oracle Database, SQL Server

  • TWS, API Connect

  • Oracle Fusion

  • Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

Technical knowledge in:

  • Database management

  • Data integration

  • Cloud/SaaS integration

  • Cybersecurity

  • Authentication

Familiarity with DevOps pipelines and tools including:

  • Git

  • Jenkins

  • Urbancode

  • Docker
