This is an exciting opportunity as we seek to recruit a Business Support Officer to join our experienced and effective admin team within the SEND and Inclusion Service. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape practice to deliver improvements for service users.

The successful candidate will assist in providing effective business and administrative support to the team & in particular the Senior Business Support Officer within both the Specialist Inclusion Team and SEN Team.

You will provide admin support to ongoing Change Programme Projects, such as Mainstream Inclusion Calderdale and PINS, liaising with colleges from wider services e, g. the ICB and across other LAs where required.

This role will be focussed on management of routine administrative functions such as data entry, document preparation, scheduling meetings and maintaining accurate records. The role requires a professionally flexible approach to tasks whilst meeting deadlines and ensuring follow up actions are progressed. You will also be expected to maintain up to date accurate information on computerised records and systems to produce documents in line with corporate standards.

The successful applicant will have excellent IT skills, proven administrative skills and be able to prioritise their own workload, whilst working as part of a very busy team.

You will be expected to have excellent communication and customer care skills as you will be requesting information from a range of other professionals including health & social care colleagues. It is also important to note that you will be dealing with sensitive information and working at a fast pace on a daily basis. Our Business Support Assistants are expected to be emotionally resilient to be able to support the team efficiently.
