Warehouse Operative (with growth to Supervisor) North Ferriby, HU14
Due to continued growth, this well-established company is looking for a reliable, energetic Warehouse Operative to join their team. This is more than a pick-and-pack role – they are looking for someone who can grow with them and eventually step into a deputy or supervisory position.
The Company:
They’re a dynamic, independent business supplying high-quality filtration products to the UK and international markets. Their customers span everything from agriculture to industrial machinery, and they take pride in fast, accurate service – backed by decades of industry experience. With a new website launching and international trade expanding, it’s an exciting time to join the company.
Who We're Looking For:
We’ll consider two types of applicants:
• Ambitious apprentices who want to learn the ropes and grow long-term.
• Experienced operatives ready to take the next step toward team leadership.
When applying candidate must specify on a CV or cover letter which role type is preferred, either the apprentice or the experience route.
About the Role:
You'll be involved in all aspects of warehouse operations:
• Receiving and checking deliveries
• Accurately picking and packing orders
• Loading/unloading goods
• Operating lift trucks, pallet trucks, and warehouse safety equipment
• Recording stock movements and documentation using Sage and carrier systems (e.g. DPD, DHL, FedEx)
• Making local deliveries in our van (full UK licence required)
• Working closely with customer service and logistics teams
You'll need to be:
• Hands-on, proactive and detail-oriented
• Comfortable using IT systems and warehouse software
• A good communicator with a calm, can-do approach
• Health & safety aware and keen to learn
• Willing to muck in, but able to think ahead
Apprenticeship Pathway Available
We’re already partnering with an apprenticeship provider and would be happy to connect you with them if you choose this route. Formal training and support would be provided alongside your on-the-job development.
Hours & Pay:
• 35 hours/week: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm (30 mins lunch + breaks)
• Pay: National Minimum Wage or higher depending on experience
Apprentice route = apprenticeship minimum wage plus potential top-up based on fit and progress
