A welcoming specialist school in Leicestershire (LE12) is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join their team this September.

About the School

The school supports a small cohort of pupils aged 4-13 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. With a calm, structured environment and class sizes kept small, students benefit from a highly personalised approach to learning.

Facilities include a MUGA sports area, science and art rooms, a music studio, calm and sensory spaces, and outdoor learning provision.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups, helping them stay focused and engaged
- Assist with behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies
- Work across academic, creative and outdoor learning sessions
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff to deliver tailored support
- Contribute to a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment

What We're Looking For
- Experience supporting children or young people with additional needs (SEMH, SEN, or behavioural challenges)
- A calm, patient and resilient approach
- Good communication skills and a team-first attitude
- Backgrounds in education, youth work, residential care or support work are welcome

Note: You do not need prior SEMH experience - if you're calm, consistent, and committed, training and support will be provided.

Why Apply?
- Work in a nurturing school with a close-knit team
- Consistent opportunity, working in one school on a long term to permanent basis
- Term-time only
- Ideal for those looking to step into a more rewarding, pupil-centred role
