We have an exciting role for a support worker within the Coalville locality safeguarding team

About the Role

You will provide direct high quality integrated family support and childcare services to children and young people as part of a family support/safeguarding plan by working as part of an integrated team. You will be required to facilitate family time with children that are in care and ensure that accurate recordings of this is documented and can be used for court proceedings.

A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.

About You

To apply for this post, you must respond to and evidence the following essential criteria within your personal statement. This should be no more than 1,000 words.

  • NVQ level 3 in childcare qualification(NNEB/NVQ3) or equivalent
  • Previous experience of caring for children or young people in a personal, voluntary or statutory capacity or experience of working to protect and improve the life changes of children or young people
  • Experience in a social care setting
  • Basic Knowledge of child development
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
  • good verbal and interpersonal skills to communicate clearly with children, young people, families, colleagues and professionals.

You must also have an understanding of, and commitment to, equality, diversity and inclusion.

In addition, we also expect you to share our commitment to our values and will ask you to evidence when you have demonstrated them as part of the selection process.
