The main duties of the post-holder will be towork with the Maudsley Learning team to:
• Provide strategicclinicalleadership,managementandoversightfor allSBE andexperiential leaning activity.Including thesuccessfuldesign,developmentand delivery of a range education and training courses and programmes including simulation-based education (SBE) courses.
• ProvideQualityAssurance (QA) oversightforallthe service’seducationaloutput.Includingstrategicdirection for ML’seducationresearch,evaluationandpublication output.
• Lead the faculty and simulation team to provideclinical and educationalsubject matterexpertiseinput tosupportML’s commercial activity. Working closely with theDirector of Operations and Maudsley Enterprise business support teamsto developsalescommercialmarketing content,salesproposalsandbid tender applications.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to become lead for the Trust’s nationalaward-winningsimulation training team and become an integral part of senior leadership team of Maudsley Learning.

It would suit an enthusiastic and dynamicspeciality gradepsychiatristwho is passionate about education and training,andwhohas experience tounderstand the incredible value that can be played by immersive, experiential simulation training.
The post-holder willleadour internal faculty in thedevelopment anddelivery of a variety ofmental health focussed,medical, clinical, and multidisciplinary training courses using simulation-based-education (SBE)andexperientiallearningtechnologies, including VR360. The post-holder willalsoensure strategic alignment of ourSBE programme withlocal andnationalobjectives, including quality assurance oversight of all delivered training.
The post-holder will report totheDirector of Operations,working witha multi-disciplinary education team,includingmedical education fellows, nurse tutors,subject matter experts (SMEs),SBE technicians,technology enhanced learning (TEL)media producers,researchers,mental health actors,and business support teams.The post holder will work with the team to enable our full schedule ofcommerciallycommissionedSBE and mental health educationprogrammesto be delivered.
The post holder will be highly organised and able to support the smooth delivery ofour SBEtraining courses while delivering work to thehigh standardsof our award-winning team. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide strategic clinical leadership for all simulation and experiential learning activities.

• Represent Maudsley Learning at national and international events.
