Description / Details of the Role:
My child is a 7 year old boy who is non-verbal and autistic. He is a very happy little boy who
enjoys going to the park, playing with cars, watching things move around (cars down a track), enjoys watching Thomas the Tank Engine and loves being outdoors. My son also enjoys tickles and cuddles
I would love for someone to assist my child to access activities in the community, SEN activities and clubs.
To provide support and assistance to enable my child to achieve their full potential,
including personal care.
Key main tasks: (Include any specialised training /knowledge if required)
Toileting - in nappies
To show my son symbols of what he is doing and what he will do next. Also try and do symbol exchange for something he wants like his food.
Patience
High level of supervision required - my son has no awareness of danger and is not
aware of how he could hurt himself if he touches something he should not or if he climbed onto something how he would hurt himself if he fell off. My son also will still put things into his mouth so there could be a choking risk if he picked up something small.
Hourly rate of pay: £
If over age 21 then it is £12.21
If they are under age 21 then it is £10.00
Hours available:
Term Time - 3 hours per week
School Holidays- 6 hours per week.
An enhanced DBS for working with children will be required, which I will arrange if an up to date clearance is needed.
