Crynodeb
Our client is looking for Street Sweepers to work in the Northfleet. As a Street Sweeper you will be required to be physically fit as you are lifting and sweeping all day, you can be walking up to 5 miles a day , also you should consider you will be working outdoors in all weathers. Holding a driving licence is advantageous as some of our sweepers will be required to operate vehicle.
Typical tasks include:
Manual sweeping of streets and other areas (which can include footways, alleys, subways, under and around street furniture etc)
Driving cleaning vehicles (if hold valid driving licence)
Ensure that all Gully Grids are clear of any obstruction and that sweepings arising are not swept over or pushed down gully grids; such action may lead to disciplinary action
Empty litters bins found within your beat, ensure that the liners are replaced properly, and collect sweepers bags from agreed to pick up points
Utilise onboard technology in real time to record task confirmation and crew-related issues
Report locations of any graffiti, fly posting or damage/missing litter bins and waste containers to your Foreman/Manager
Check your equipment to ensure it is in good condition and exchange damaged or worn-out items.
Maintain a courteous and professional relationship with members of the public, clients, staff and colleagues
Shift
Monday – Thursday 7am-3.30pm, Friday 7am-2.30pm
Pay is £12.21ph, after 12 weeks completed pay increases to £12.46. You will also receive overtime for Saturdays of £18.32 and should you work a Sunday or bank holiday the pay is £24.42
