As a Refuse Loader, you'll be part of a vital front line service, collecting household waste, recycling, and garden waste from residential properties across the borough. You'll work as part of a small team, supporting the driver and fellow loaders to complete daily rounds efficiently and safely.
Duties:
* Collecting and loading waste and recycling bins onto refuse collection vehicles
* Ensuring waste is collected in line with council guidelines and schedules
* Reporting any issues such as missed collections, damaged bins, or contamination
* Maintaining high standards of health and safety at all times
* Providing excellent service to residents and representing the council positively
What We're Looking For:
* This is a physically demanding, outdoor role.
* A team player with a strong work ethic and reliability
* Punctual, respectful, and safety-conscious
* Previous experience in a similar role is helpful but not essential - full training provided
Hours Of Work:
* Monday - Friday, 06:00 - 13:54
Pay Rate
* £12.21, Weeks 1-12
* £12.95, Weeks 13 on wards
* Overtime paid after 37 hours.
