Summary

Communication Ability to offer a consistent, reliable service including punctuality for training sessions and visibleplanning of absence, contingency planning. Ability to foster strong customer led relationships with clinicians and the variety of departmentsand services across the division. Commitment to develop the ability to facilitate (deliver) training events. Knowledge, Training and Experience Possess or willing to work towards a recognised teaching qualification (C&G 7304 Certificate in Teaching) to Diploma level equivalent. Trained in or a commitment to attend formal training / qualification in back care e.g. (ROSPA) (Manual Handling Lead Programme). Working in healthcare settings and/or with individuals delivering healthcare Sound understanding of Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust Previous experience of working in a high functioning team Excellent communication skills, with staff at all levels and outside clients Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and work to set timescales with minimum supervision Excellent time management and the ability to be proactive and problem solve Good Interpersonal skills Team player Self-motivated and conscientious. Analytical and Judgement Skills Ability to develop an understanding of the complexity of the training agenda and to convey a rangeof information. To learn to make judgements about own training performance and with the help of line managerand colleagues to make changes and develop creative approaches. Planning and Organisational Skills Responsibility for managing own commitments in negotiation with other trainers, training schedulesand other aspects of the departments education delivery. Good experience of planning and administering own workload. Ensure adequate training resources are available for the course to be delivered. Physical Skills The post holder will be expected to learn to demonstrate resuscitation techniques and efficientmovement principles to participants and present as a role model to others. Specific holds, bodypositioning and efficient movement will apply to all aspects of movement and handling methods. The post holder will be required to transfer training materials for Moving andHandling training and set up training rooms as necessary. Other subject areas are not expected to require any added physical skills. The post holder will have the ability to travel across Trust sites Responsibility for Patient/Client Care Responsibility to learn to deliver information that may relate to patient and staff members well-being (back care) however there is no direct responsibility for patient or client care within the scope of this post which is advisory in its role. Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment. You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies.
