Senior Design Engineer
Bristol

This is a brilliant opportunity to join a leading UK player in its field.
You will be working in a high performing Design team, overseeing design projects from concept to completion. This role is using Solidworks and CFD/FEA is also involved.
The Role:
- Lead the design and development of pump product lines - using Solidworks.
- Work as part of a small team in a collaborative manner.
- Overseeing the full design lifecycle from concept to production.
- NPD and modification projects.
- Providing technical leadership within the engineering team.
- Performing engineering calcs and CFD - computational fluid dynamics.
- Selecting appropriate materials for pump construction.
- Conducting FEA.
- Developing and executing test plans for prototypes.
- Ensuring all designs comply with relevant industry standards.
The Candidate:
- BSc in Mech engineering or fluid dynamics. MSc is ideal.
- Experience with 3d modelling software - Inventor or Solidworks.
- 5+ years Experience within the Pump Manufacturing industry - essential.
- Strong experience with CFD and FEA softwares.
- CEng status - preferred
