Summary

Senior Design Engineer
Bristol

This is a brilliant opportunity to join a leading UK player in its field.
You will be working in a high performing Design team, overseeing design projects from concept to completion. This role is using Solidworks and CFD/FEA is also involved.

The Role:

  • Lead the design and development of pump product lines - using Solidworks.
  • Work as part of a small team in a collaborative manner.
  • Overseeing the full design lifecycle from concept to production.
  • NPD and modification projects.
  • Providing technical leadership within the engineering team.
  • Performing engineering calcs and CFD - computational fluid dynamics.
  • Selecting appropriate materials for pump construction.
  • Conducting FEA.
  • Developing and executing test plans for prototypes.
  • Ensuring all designs comply with relevant industry standards.

The Candidate:

  • BSc in Mech engineering or fluid dynamics. MSc is ideal.
  • Experience with 3d modelling software - Inventor or Solidworks.
  • 5+ years Experience within the Pump Manufacturing industry - essential.
  • Strong experience with CFD and FEA softwares.
  • CEng status - preferred
