Summary
Despatch Operative – Temp to Perm
Location: Sheffield (S9)
Pay Rate: £13.62 per hour
Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 08:00 – 16:30
Friday: 08:00 – 15:30
Flexibility required for occasional later finishes to complete dispatch and loading.
We are recruiting for a reliable and proactive Despatch Operative to join a busy manufacturing environment in Sheffield. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for a long-term role with the potential to become permanent.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparing and processing goods for despatch
Loading wagons, including some outside the premises
Operating a counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently
Supporting the smooth operation of the despatch department
Performing general warehouse duties as required
Requirements:
Valid counterbalance forklift licence
Full UK driving licence
Previous experience in a despatch or warehouse role is desirable
Strong computer and communication skills
A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to work flexibly
