We have an exciting permanent opportunity to join our Housing Options and Support Team in the role of Team Leader – Homelessness Assessment and Case Management. The principal functions of this post are to plan and deliver an effective and efficient Homelessness Assessment and Case Management service. The post holder will have a day to day line management of the team to ensure delivery of an effective Homelessness/Housing Options service.

We need someone who has significant experience of working in Local Authority Housing Service, including Homelessness, Housing Options and Housing Allocations. It is essential that the individual has experience in reviewing and developing policies covering homelessness, allocations and housing support. In addition the individual must have experience of staff supervision.

Ideally the successful post holder will also have experience and knowledge of the Scottish Housing Regulator.

Depending upon the needs of the service, staff in Hybrid roles will typically work from home for up to 40% of the time where the needs of the service can still be met.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. It is an offence therefore to apply if you are barred from working with protected adults. In addition to this, if you have lived or worked in any country outside the UK in the past 10 years, there may be a requirement for an overseas police check.
