About the Role

Here at Sugarman Health and Wellbeing, we are looking for a kind, reliable and motivated Healthcare Assistant to support our vibrant service users living with progressive MS (multiple sclerosis) within their own home. MS is a lifelong condition that affects the brain and spinal cord, leading to a wide range of symptoms that vary over time. In this case, the condition has progressed to significantly impact the service user's mobility, dexterity, and overall independence and therefore requires manual handling and support with other aspects of his personal care.

This position is rewarding, person-centred and will equip the carer with a wide range of beneficial skills.

What are your duties as a Healthcare Assistant in this package?

  • Support in Moving and Handling & Personal Care
  • Support and maintain all clinical needs.
  • Training Carers.
  • To be respectful and maintain professional boundaries

We are looking for:

  • A minimum of 6 months of UK care experience
  • Complex care experience is desirable but not mandatory
  • To provide the correct compliance documents, including updated Right to Work and original DBS certificate
  • Someone who will go above and beyond for the service user and staff involved in the package

Theory and Practical training will be provided free of charge to ensure you have the correct skills and knowledge to support this service user's needs. This is an amazing opportunity to learn new skills and progress in your health and social care career. Practical clinical training will be delivered by one of our nurses so you can learn first-hand from their expertise.
