Our Communications and Marketing Service is looking for an experienced creative designer to join their multi award winning Campaigns and Creative Services Team.
What will be expected from me?
The Creative Designer Officer role will be responsible for actively contributing to the continuous improvement of the Communications and Marketing Service through the development and delivery of innovative, high quality creative design across all types of collateral. You will provide strategic creative input as well as the creation of both printed and digital materials for outputs across various platforms including websites, digital screens, social media, print and others as required.
You will work closely with our campaigns and marketing colleagues together with other colleagues across the Council and external partners/ agencies, to contribute to the design, development and implementation of key campaigns that supports the delivery of Wakefield Council’s priorities.
Essential requirements:
Relevant qualification in graphic design, or equivalent.
Excellent understanding of the importance and role of high quality design in contributing to corporate branding, reputation management, and improving customer (internal and external) perception.
Able to contribute ideas and produce high quality creative solutions to help communication managers within the Communications Service.
Strong awareness of how ongoing technical changes impacts on development and delivery of design and printed products.
Successful record of planning, designing and delivering effective design solutions against customer briefs.
Proven experience in brand management and challenging customer briefs to ensure brand integrity.
Successful record of delivering concept, design advice and solutions for key corporate publications.
Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively, able to listen, influence, persuade and negotiate effectively with people at all levels.
What can I expect?
This is a permanent Full-Time post of 37 hours per week.
