Summary
City Centre Recruitment is proud to be recruiting for a Town Ranger. This is a rewarding front-line role ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with people, contributing to community safety, and representing the best of Bournemouth.
As a Town Ranger, you’ll be a visible, uniformed presence in Bournemouth town centre—welcoming visitors, building strong relationships with local businesses, and helping ensure the town is safe, clean, and inviting for everyone.
Key Responsibilities
• Patrol the streets of the BID area as a visible and approachable presence.
• Provide a warm welcome to shoppers, tourists, and visitors.
• Build strong working relationships with BID businesses and local partners including police, PCSOs, council workers, and CCTV operators.
• Act as the eyes and ears of the BID, identifying and reporting any incidents or antisocial behaviour.
• Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate authority (e.g. Police, Council, CSAS) and monitor until resolution.
• Maintain accurate records of all incidents and observations.
• Act as an ambassador and promoter for the town and its businesses.
• Support town centre events and activities as required.
• Ensure all Health & Safety and company policies are followed.

• Observant and able to manage incidents calmly and effectively
• Confident working independently and as part of a team
• Willing to undergo a standard DBS check
