Job Description: We are looking for a Network Administrator to support transport, warehouse, and customer service operations. The role involves managing documentation, resolving delivery and stock issues, preparing reports, and ensuring smooth communication across teams-all while maintaining safety and service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive administrative support, including document management (filing, photocopying, scanning), data entry, and accurate handling of Proof of Delivery (POD) documentation.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to telephone, email, and system enquiries from internal teams and external customers, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including customer system communications, with accuracy and professionalism.
  • Prepare and distribute operational reports such as KPIs, stock summaries, and daily/weekly/monthly performance updates to support customer and internal meetings.
  • Liaise with Transport and Warehouse teams to process essential documentation and meet logistical requirements.
  • Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies (e.g., missing items, shortages, damages) and produce weekly stock reports to support invoicing.
  • Monitor stock control systems, perform scanning tasks, and report findings to depot leadership.
  • Collaborate with internal depots and the network team to ensure deliveries are completed on time and in full.
  • Support the transport team in managing delivery issues, including rejected goods and rebooking deliveries.
  • Maintain regular communication with key customers to provide delivery updates and manage expectations.
  • Process and file driver paperwork, ensuring accurate scanning and job allocation.
  • Assist with the fines process to support compliance and protect customer and business interests.
  • Maintain proficient use of internal systems such as GDL and Pallet Network platforms to meet operational and customer service standards.
  • Foster effective working relationships across departments to support a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Adhere to all Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) policies and procedures, including reporting hazards and incidents via the Intelex system.
  • Take personal responsibility for health and safety, ensuring the wellbeing of oneself and others in the workplace.
  • Support the wider Network Operations team by undertaking additional tasks as directed by the Network Service Supervisor or depot leadership team.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a transport or warehouse environment is advantageous, but not essential.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Strong geographical knowledge of the UK.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload.
  • Critical attention to detail and ability to meet daily deadlines.
  • Able to work as part of a team and on your own initiative.
  • Proficiency in MS packages, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
