We are writing a new and exciting chapter in the history of The Belfry. A major expansion and renovation project has begun at our resort, due for completion in Autumn 2025. With a substantial investment in excess of £80 million, we are enriching our resort including the addition of a new event space, The Masters Suite, 149 extra bedrooms, a state-of-the-art leisure club, and much more.

Salary

The on target earning potential for this role is a £12.80 hourly salary, compromising of a base hourly rate of £12.21 plus a qualified estimate of £0.59 gratuities per hour.


Key Responsibilities:

  • To undertake and complete academy desk shifts and ball collection duties to ensure the smooth running of the Golf Academy Operation on a daily basis.
  • To operate the Academy desk including telephone enquiries and payment and booking system for lessons, custom fittings and general payments.
  • To operate the ball collector machine and ball machines to ensure the academy and driving range has sufficient supply to ensure a smooth operation
  • To deal with customer enquiries and queries in a polite and professional manner.
  • To ensure the driving range is opened on time and all opening procedures are adhered to.
  • To ensure the driving range is closed and secured correctly and all closing procedures are adhered to at all times, with correct cash handling processes adhered to at all times.
  • To have an understanding and awareness of the resort and promote The Belfry and facilities to customers at all opportunities.
  • To ‘up sell’ at all times to maximise revenue and departmental targets to increase revenue for the golf academy
  • To undertake other tasks as and when required by the Golf Academy Management team that are in line with the successful running of the department.
  • To follow procedures in accordance with the SOP manual, including H&S responsibilities.
  • To complete all checklists that are relevant to the given role you are undertaking.
  • To work to agreed rota, ensuring punctual arrival for duty.
  • To ensure appearance standards are maintained at all times.
  • To ensure Belfry equipment is handled and stored with due care and attention.
  • To attend training courses to adhere to statutory requirements – including Fire, COSHH, Risk Assessments and Health and safety.


Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded team player, with a can-do attitude and eye on the commercials. You will also have the following:

  • Extensive knowledge of golf equipment
  • Strong analytical skills to assess swing dynamics and equipment needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer interaction
  • Passion for golf and commitment to enhancing player performance
