Summary

Our client, a leading education provider in Southwark, is seeking an experienced and passionate Part-time GCSE Tutor to join their dedicated team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons to help students achieve their full potential in their GCSE exams. This position offers a competitive salary range of £25 to £33 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

The ideal candidate will possess a completed Bachelor's degree, demonstrating their expertise in their chosen subject area. A minimum of 6 months teaching or tutoring experience in the UK is essential, as it will enable the tutor to effectively understand and navigate the British education system and its requirements.

To be considered for this role, applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK with no restrictions on working hours. Our client is committed to providing a safe and nurturing learning environment for all students, and as such, the successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check and subscribe to the DBS Update Service.

The Part-time GCSE Tutor will be working with students from diverse backgrounds, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and other complex requirements. Therefore, a strong commitment to safeguarding and supporting these learners is essential. The tutor should possess excellent communication, patience, and adaptability skills to ensure that each student receives the support they need to succeed.

In this role, the tutor will be responsible for planning and delivering tailored lessons that align with the GCSE curriculum, assessing student progress, and providing regular feedback to both students and parents. The ability to create a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere, where students feel encouraged and motivated to achieve their best, is crucial.
