Summary

Overview

We are seeking a School Cleaning Supervisor to lead our team at Cardigan Primary School. The role will be to contribute to the upkeep of a clean, safe, and hygienic learning environment for pupils, staff, and visitors. This role is essential in supporting the health and wellbeing of the school community.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and support a team of cleaners to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
Clean classrooms, corridors, staff rooms, toilets, and communal areas to a high standard.
Ensure hygiene in areas used by children, including regular disinfection of surfaces.
Monitor cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring safe and effective use.
Ensure all cleaning activities comply with safeguarding and health & safety regulations.
Report any maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate personnel
Person Specification

Is motivated and takes pride in maintaining a clean environment.
Has a flexible and positive attitude.
Communicates effectively and works well independently or as part of a team.
Experience and Training

Previous cleaning experience is desirable; supervisory experience is an advantage. Training will be provided.

Additional Information

A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is required.
Health and Safety training will be provided.
Welsh language support is available for candidates who do not meet the required standard.
