Cover Supervisor Roles - Rochdale Schools via Hays Education
Hays Education is currently recruiting experienced Cover Supervisors to support schools across Rochdale, where day-to-day, short-term, and long-term cover requests soared last academic year-and expectations are just as high for this one.We're building a pool of proactive, confident individuals with a proven ability to lead and manage groups of young people aged 10-16, especially those who've worked in:
- Sports clubs or coaching teams
- Youth groups and community organisations
- Summer camps or activity centres
About the RoleAs a Cover Supervisor, you'll take charge of classrooms during teacher absences, delivering pre-set lesson plans and keeping pupils focused on learning.You'll need to:
- Manage classroom behaviour and maintain engagement
- Communicate clearly and professionally
- Adapt quickly to a range of subjects and age groups
- Be available for flexible bookings across multiple schools
Ideal Candidates Will Have:
- Experience supervising or leading groups of 10+ young people
- Strong behaviour management and interpersonal skills
- Confidence working in fast-paced school environments
- A positive, approachable manner and can-do attitude
