This full-time, term-time only role is ideal for graduates looking to gain hands-on school experience before progressing into teacher training or a career in education. You’ll provide crucial academic and pastoral support to students across a range of subjects while working closely with experienced teachers and support staff.
Graduate Learning Support Assistant – Key Responsibilities
• Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to pupils with diverse learning needs
• Collaborate with teachers to adapt lessons and classroom activities for individual learners
• Assist in planning and delivering focused academic interventions
• Encourage positive behaviour and foster an inclusive classroom culture
• Track student progress and provide constructive feedback to teaching staff
• Support pupils with SEND or additional educational needs across the curriculum
Who We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a motivated and enthusiastic graduate who meets the following criteria:
• A minimum 2:1 degree in any subject (English, Psychology, Science, Maths, or Humanities preferred)
• Strong academic background and excellent communication skills
• A passion for education and a commitment to supporting student progress
• Previous experience working with young people (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, youth work) – desirable
• Proactive, energetic, and willing to learn within a school setting
• Interest in progressing to a career in teaching or educational support
