Summary

About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated HR Advisor to join our hardworking and collaborative team based at our centre Touchbase Pears, in Selly Oak, Birmingham. This role will also include hybrid working and travel to Sense locations.

As a member of the People Partner and People and Culture team, you will work with your designated People Partner in the provision of a full range of generalist HR support to your business area, including reward and recognition activities, end to end employee relations casework and supporting managers to enable Sense to be an Employer of Choice.

Specific Responsibilities:
Provide timely and effective support with end to end management of employee relations casework including Disciplinary, Grievance, Absence and Performance management.
Assist the People Partners with the co-ordination of reorganisations and reward and recognition activities.
Effectively engage and coach managers to improve early interventions and provide pragmatic business focused HR solutions and recommendations.
Collaborate with colleagues and build strong working relationships across key customer groups and the wider organisation; to influence decision making.
Liaise with external providers e.g., Occupational Health.
Use informal resolution and mediation where appropriate.
Support with policy or guidance reviews and ensure they are fully implemented across Sense, delivering or supporting with training delivery when required.
Accurately maintain and update casework records and electronic employee records; ensuring they are up to date and held securely in accordance with GDPR.
Comply with Sense’s Policies including our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Policy in all activities and ensure it is fully implemented in the teams they support.
Work on specific projects to enable a positive employee experience.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
Experience in end to end management of employee relations casework up to and including dismissal with a particular focus on informal resolution of cases.
Experience of partnering and coaching managers.
Experience of engaging and collaborating with stakeholders effectively.
Experience of reviewing policies and procedures and delivering training.
CIPD Level 5 or actively studying or equivalent relevant work experience.
Proven up to date knowledge of HR legislation and best practice.
Confident communicator at all levels, able to present sensitive or complex information in a clear and easily understood format.
Able to produce reports and analyse management information.
Approachable, proactive can-do customer focused attitude.
A commitment to people with complex communication and Sense’s vision and values; a willingness to learn how to communicate with people with complex communication and identify the barriers to their participation in all aspects of Sense’s work.
We will be conducting face to face interviews at our Selly Oak offices on 20th and 27th August.
