Summary
We are looking for a reliable and detail-focused Transport Co-ordinator to join a busy night operations team. Based on-site at a busy logistics hub, you’ll take control of tracking shipments, liaising with carriers and customers, and ensuring goods move smoothly from A to B.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong coordination skills, a calm approach under pressure, and ideally some experience in the transport or logistics sector.
Enter and update transport jobs accurately on the system
Monitor shipments and provide real-time updates to customers
Liaise with carriers and subcontractors, including rate negotiation when needed
Plan vehicle movements and coordinate with warehouse teams
Ensure job files are completed and documents filed correctly
Escalate any time-sensitive issues quickly and effectively
Communicate with internal departments such as Operations, Accounts, and Warehouse
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent attention to detail and time management
Ability to stay calm and make decisions under pressure
A positive, proactive attitude and professional approach
Ideally, experience in UK, EU, or international transport/logistics
Comfortable working nights with a small team or independently
Initial training will be completed on day shifts (40 hours/week) for 6–8 weeks
Salary will be pro-rata during training
