Summary
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with the daily care, learning, and development of children aged 0–5 years
• Engage children in creative, educational, and physical activities indoors and outdoors
• Follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework to support each child’s development
• Ensure the safety, wellbeing, and hygiene of children always
• Collaborate with nursery staff and contribute to a positive and stimulating environment
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and carers
• Assist with feeding, nappy changing, and general supervision
Requirements:
Essential:
• A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years Education (e.g., CACHE, NCFE, City & Guilds, Pearson)
• Enhanced DBS check (or willing to obtain one)
• A genuine passion for working with children
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies
• 3 References
Desirable:
• Paediatric First Aid certificate
• Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting
• Understanding of the EYFS framework
