Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Chef Manager to join our team in Hamilton, United Kingdom. As the Chef Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing our kitchen operations, developing innovative menus, and Preparing Jury Meals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop well-balanced, nutritious menus and manage kitchen operations, ensuring cost-effective practices whilst maintaining high-quality standards
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and motivate catering staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers and clients
  • Ensure strict compliance with UK food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and quality control protocols
  • Oversee inventory management, budgeting, and financial reporting for the kitchen department
  • Identify opportunities for growth and innovation in menu offerings, service delivery, and operational efficiency, incorporating customer feedback and culinary trends



Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Chef Manager in a quality-focused environment
  • Demonstrated ability to manage, train, and support a team effectively
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting and driving commercial performance
  • Excellent coaching, delegation, and influencing skills
  • Ability to prioritise multiple projects and thrive in a fast-paced, creative environment
  • Meticulous organisational abilities and high attention to detail
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strategic thinking and critical reasoning skills
  • Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications
  • In-depth knowledge of UK food safety regulations and hygiene standards
  • Expertise in menu planning and development
  • Proficiency in kitchen management software
  • Adaptability and resilience in facing challenges and opportunities
  • Customer-focused approach with a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences
