Summary

Independence Support Ltd (ISL) operate a supported living service in Kendal, Cumbria. The facility offers bespoke accommodation in the form of self contained units with communal areas.
The service supports individuals with a range of needs, including learning disabilities, physical disabilities and other complex needs. The role includes manual handling and the delivery of personal care for some individuals.
Staff will be providing outcome focused support, enabling people to live as independently as possible in their own home - building skills, independence and vocation by supporting individuals with:
Daily living skills - cooking, cleaning, managing tenancy
Encouraging hobbies - swimming, walking, crafts
Community access
Medication
Attending appointments
Emotional support
We are looking for flexible, reliable and committed staff to join our team, to cover a variety of hours and shift patterns including days and nights. We are looking for both contracted full time (37.5 hours) and part time (23.5 hours) staff.
Staff will require a driving license and be able to swim (to support clients with hobbies and Hydrotherapy)
All staff will be required to work flexibly across a 7 day rota in order to meet the needs of the people we support.
Full induction training will be provided however some experience of working in a similar setting is desirable as the circumstances of the people being supported will be complex.
All appointments are subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
