We are looking to recruit a research assistant to support us publishing research for our exciting new project.
Exciting investment atCoventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust (CWPT)allows us to expand our existingForensic Community Mental Health Team. We’re building a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team of 27 skilled professionals to deliver outstanding mental health care to adults with forensic presentations. This ambitious,2-year projectis backed by significant funding and is focused on transforming mental health services for people who are a risk to others.
What We’re Working On:
• Setting up a dedicated clinic spacewithin a local remand prison
• Improving the transition pathwayfrom secure care to community services
• Embedding forensic specialistsinto each Community Mental Health Team (CMHT)
• Providing consultation and formulationsupportto staff and services
• Creating a co-production forumfor collaborative service development
• Offering targeted risk reduction interventionsin the community
• Delivering comprehensive forensic trainingfor all CWPT staff
• Leading researchon community forensic servicesto shape future care
Who We Are Looking For:
We’re seeking passionate individuals with a background working with forensic service users and those with complex mental health needs. The roles will involve building care pathways and fostering strong working relationships with other teams and external agencies, so excellent communication and collaboration skillsare essential. If you’re experienced in forensic settings (e.g., prisons, secure hospitals, probation) and have a solid understanding of the relevant legislation, we’d love to hear from you.

The successful candidate will have a relevant health / mental health related degree or qualification. They should be computer literate, with excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills. Knowledge of and experience of health and/or social care research is essential. The role will involve travel to research sites across Coventry and Warwickshire so applicants must have the ability to move freely across the Trust.
