Summary
The Kokni Community Luton requires one Temporary Religious Worker with knowledge and
experience in the Traditional and Religious background of the Muslim Shaafi Doctrine.
Applicants must have extensive, proven experience and be strictly of the Shafi’i school of
thought. Due to the religious requirements of our community, constitutional requirements,
and the nature of the job, applicants must be of the Muslim Shafi order.
Preference will be given to applicants who are British Citizens and Permanent Residents.
• Working collaboratively with the other KCL Masjid Imaams and reporting to the KCL
Centre Manager.
• To help and support the needs of the KCL Masjid & Community.
• Perform the sacraments of religious events, tending to the community, the needy,
and the elderly members of the Muslim Shaafi Community. You will be required to
assist in performing such rituals, working collaboratively with the other KCL Masjid
Imaams.
• Comprehensive upkeep of the Masjid daily.
• Assist in teaching children Islamic Education according to the Shafi Doctrine.
• To ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of the premises.
• Collaborate with the other KCL Masjid Imaams on daily tasks and assist in organising
various religious events at the Mosque/Masjid. This ensures the smooth functioning
and operation of the KCL Mosque/Masjid, including conducting religious weddings.
• Support in bringing Cohesiveness within communities.
• Working closely with the KCL Management trustees to ensure the smooth functioning
and operation of the KCL Mosque/Masjid.
