Summary

About the role
This role is specifically for people who have lived experience of mental health problems. Through sharing wisdom from your own experiences, you will inspire hope and belief that recovery is possible in others. You will deliver service in line with Solent Mind’s mission “Supporting everyone to develop positive mental wellbeing, live well and thrive”.

Our peer support services continue to grow significantly at all levels, including community, primary, secondary and crisis care. We are working in partnership with Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust to continue to develop a programme of peer support for people accessing community mental health (CMHT) teams in Southampton.

About you:
You must have mental health lived experience to apply for the role.
You will need to have a key understanding of the role of peer support in mental health as well as key concepts of recovery, along with the difficulties and challenges faced by people on their recovery journey.
