Join My Friendly Team of PAs – Support Me to Live Independently
I am looking for a friendly and reliable person to join my small team of PAs who help me live independently in my own home.
This is a rewarding role where you'll be supporting me with everyday domestic tasks and accompanying me to social and community activities that I enjoy.
About the Role:
- Help with day-to-day household tasks to keep things running smoothly
- Support me during social outings, appointments, or activities in the community
- Be part of a supportive and friendly team that truly makes a difference
About You:
- Kind, patient, and sociable – someone who enjoys helping others
- Comfortable around animals – I have a lovely support dog and an indoor cat
- Ideally, you’ll have a clean driving licence and be happy to use your car to drive me and my support dog (fuel costs can be discussed)

Duties include:
- Personal grooming
- Other relevant duties as required
- Administration
- Housekeeping
- Shopping
- Cooking
- Transportation
- Looking after pets
- Assisting me to get up if I’ve fallen over
- Accompany me when accessing social and leisure activities when required such as horse riding, bowling, exercise classes, to meet my friends or other hearing dog get togethers
- Accompanying me on walks with my hearing working dog, and clearing up after him when needed
Candidate qualities:
- Respectful of the employer's privacy and confidentiality
- Reliable with good timekeeping
- Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
- Hygienic, tidy and well organised
- Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
- Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills
- Honest and cheerful
- Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
- Must be comfortable with pets
- Able to always work to high standards of health & safety
- Must be comfortable with pets and be willing to support clearing up after them when necessary
- Must have a UK driving licence- preferred but not essential
- Must have access to own vehicle- preferred but not essential
- Be able to work as part of a team (essential)
- Being able to sign using BSL is an advantage
