As a Workplace Manager, you will be responsible and accountable for all aspects of the operational management of the ISS workplace.
This brand-new role has been created due to business expansion and offers a rare opportunity to join ISS in Birmingham.
Job Description
As Workplace Manager, you will take full ownership of the safe, efficient, and effective running of the workplace.
Utilising company methodologies, concepts, and innovations, you will curate a world-class workplace experience for end users by integrating all services into a coherent, high-performing team. You will be a driving force behind our core message, People Make Places.
This role is ideal for someone with a background in workplace management or office management.
It is a people-focused position, suited to candidates with knowledge of health and safety principles and experience managing contracts, technical aspects, compliance, and fire safety.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure ISS procedures, policies and standards are met, delivering a five-star workplace experience
Manage the Workplace team to handle client requests and enquiries, exceeding expectations
Coordinate daily operations, promoting a ‘One Team’ ethos across all service lines
Maintain and update SOPs and New Starter guides for all roles
Implement catering and cleaning services, including required training
Support the Workplace Operations Manager to ensure full compliance with safety, security, and sustainability
Act as an ambassador for ISS initiatives and provide cover for management as needed
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Previous team leadership or management experience
Strong customer focus with experience in customer-facing roles
Experience in workplace leadership or coordination
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly organised with the ability to work independently and in a team
Skilled in Microsoft Office at an intermediate to advanced level
Understanding of health and safety principles with the ability to work well under pressure
