Cover Manager – Secondary School – Slough, Berkshire
£29,227 – £34,430 (FTE) | Term Time Only + 1 Inset Week
Loyal Blue Recruitment are working with a well-respected secondary school in Slough who are looking to appoint a reliable and experienced Cover Manager to join their team.
This is a really important role in the day-to-day running of the school. The right person will be calm, organised and able to think ahead – someone who enjoys problem-solving and keeping things running smoothly, even at short notice.
What the role involves:
Organising cover for absent staff on a daily basis
Managing a small team of Cover Supervisors and allocating lessons
Booking agency supply staff when needed
Making sure every class is covered and timetables are updated
Keeping records up to date using SIMS
Stepping in to cover lessons yourself when required
Who we’re looking for:
Someone with experience in a Cover Manager role or similar in a school setting
Confident using SIMS (or willing to learn quickly)
Highly organised and able to stay calm under pressure
A clear communicator who works well with others
Someone happy to be hands-on and flexible when needed

Full-time, term-time only + 1 inset week
Salary: £29,227 – £34,430 (FTE) depending on experience
