Summary
In addition to the fundamental knowledge and skills of nursing care, the post holder will be expected to develop their understanding of how to work therapeutically with adults with eating disorders. Specialist mental health nurse practitioners with current NMC registration (Band 6 Nurses) will hold a caseload of clients and work therapeutically on an individual and group basis, using a variety of skills and may also be required to eat therapeutically with clients as necessary. All clinical staff will be expected to follow and work closely with trust policy and procedures, including lone working, safeguarding and risk assessment procedure and have sound knowledge of the Care Act. As part of the nursing process, staff will be expected to manage timely data quality, ensuring that KPIs are updated, including the accurate and safe reporting of incidents, provision of reports and information to support the safety and wellbeing of the client (e.g., to local MAPPA & MARAC meetings).
